William Jesse Prichard

Mr. William 'Bill' Jesse Prichard VI, 74, of Johns Island, SC, passed away May 09, 2015, at his home. The relatives and friends of Mr. William Jesse Prichard VI are invited to attend his Memorial Service at 2:00 PM Thursday, May 14, 2015, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service. Online condolences may be offered at www.JamesAMcAlister.com. Born in Salt Lake City, UT, he was a son of the late William Jesse Prichard V and Berkeley Tarver Prichard. Bill was raised in Aiken, SC. A graduate of high school in Aiken, he received his Bachelor of Science in History from The Citadel. A veteran of the United States Army, Bill served during the Vietnam era, and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his exemplary service. After completing his military service, Bill entered the lumber industry and worked successfully until his retirement. Bill is survived by his former wife, Sandra C. Prichard; 4 children, Jesse, Stokes, Dede, and Lytle; 8 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Berkeley LIttle and Ted Prichard.
