William Joseph Jellico

William Joseph 'Bill' Jellico, 88, a native of Charleston, SC passed into the Kingdom of God on Monday, August 1, 2016, surrounded by his family. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. William J. Jellico are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00AM, Thursday, August 4, 2016, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 7:00PM this Wednesday evening at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home. Bill was born October 4, 1927, the son of Harry Joseph Jellico and Leila May Weddigen Jellico. He was a decorated World War II Veteran who served in the US Navy at age 15 and retired from the Charleston County Police Department after many years of dedicated service. Bill's family thanks God for His mercy and kindness. He was a generous man of character and humor who served his country, city and his family faithfully with honor and integrity. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Alma D. Jellico; two sons: Jerry and Troy; daughter-in-law, Stephanie; grandsons: Brandon, Sean, Christian and Justin and two great grandchildren.
