William "Bill" Edward O'Leary

William Edward O'Leary, 86, of Charleston, husband of Frances O'Keefe O'Leary, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, December 22, 2015. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. William E. O'Leary are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 PM, Monday, December 28, 2015, at Nativity Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. A Rosary will be recited at 5:00 PM Sunday and the family will receive friends until 7:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Bill was born in Milton, MA on July 2, 1929, a son of Joseph S. and Mary Buckley O'Leary. He was a graduate of St. Sebastian High School and the Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Bill honorably served for over twenty years and retired as a Commander in the United States Navy. He enjoyed gardening and watching the Boston Red Sox. New England Patriots and the Atlanta Braves play ball. Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Frances O. O'Leary; his children: Kevin J. O'Leary, Frances Ramona "Mona" O'Leary and Martin G. O'Leary and his wife, Elizabeth, as well as a grandson, Gregory M. O'Leary.
