Walter Rhett Chassereau, 83, died April 17, 2018. The relatives and friends of both Mr. Walter R. Chassereau and his wife, Armilda Bayne-Chassereau are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, Saturday, April 21, 2018, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1309 Secessionville Rd., James Island. Burial will follow in Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Hall.
Walter was born in Atlanta, GA, on March 16, 1935, to the late William Rhett Chassereau and Frances Carraway Chassereau.
Walter is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Armilda; his daughter, Donna C. Seithel and her husband, David Seithel and their son, Lucas Rhett Seithel; his son, William R. Chassereau and his wife, Charlyne H. Chassereau and William’s two sons, Rhett Monroe Chassereau and Walter Dupree Chassereau. Also, with much devotion and appreciation to Armilda’s son, Clifton Grier Gatlin and his wife Alvena W. Gatlin. Walter was predeceased by his sister, Era C. Franklin.
Walter was a devoted Bible student and held dear to his heart and mind the exciting promises that his Heavenly Father, Jehovah, holds out to him. Walter knows that he is very much alive in Jehovah’s memory, even though he is asleep in death, while awaiting the Resurrection and looking forward to a wonderful, healthy life on a beautiful Paradise Earth.
