Virgina Adams

Virginia Chapman Adams, widow of Robert A. "Robbie" Adams, Jr., entered into eternal rest on Monday, July 13, 2009. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Virginia C. Adams are invited to attend her funeral service at 10:30 AM Thursday, July 16, 2009 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. Mrs. Adams was born in Charleston , a daughter of Walter I. and Sarah V. Mood Chapman on Sunday, November 24, 1918. She was a graduate of Murray Vocational High School. Mrs. Adams was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Dresing. She is survived by her son, Robert "Bob" A. Adams, III of Mt. Pleasant, a daughter, Gail A. Rudloff of Charleston; six grandchildren, Renee Rudloff of Ohio, John Rudloff and his wife Elisabeth of Johns Island, Jennifer Passarini of Charleston, Jonathan Adams and his wife Carrie of Charleston, Robert A. "Bobby" Adams, IV of Charleston, Tiffany Adams of Summerville; ten great grandchildren; two brothers, W.I. "Buck" Chapman of Charleston and James Chapman of Asheville, NC, 3 sisters, Thelma Hickman of Charleston, Sarah Drayton and her husband Gil of Summerville and Betty Hughes of Ormond Beach, FL.
