Verlie DeChriste Inabinett, 89, widow of Ralph Monroe Inabinett, passed away Wednesday, February 15th, 2017. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Verlie Inabinett are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 PM, Saturday, February 18, 2017, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4255 Highway 165, Yonges Island, SC 29449. The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Paul's Episcopal Churchyard. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday evening, at the James A. Verlie was born on Yonges Island, South Carolina, on September 19, 1927. She was the daughter of the late James Dennis and Rose Berdyck DeChriste. She was formerly a long time resident of Hollywood, SC, and a life long member of St. Mary's Catholic Church on Yonges Island. She retired from SCE & G. She is survived by a son, Raun Inabinett (Kalen), a daughter, Diane Torreyson (Rich); four grandchildren, James Inabinett (Samantha), Katie Inabinett (Joshua Berry), Lindsey Suhy (Adam), and Alison Torreyson; six great grandchildren, Ross Inabinett, Nora Inabinett, Hugo Ackerman, Hudson Berry, Croix Suhy, and Torrey Suhy; and a step grandson, Fuller Ackerman. She is also survived by two sisters, Delores Wright and Mary Agnes Taylor (Harold), and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Dennis and Francis DeChriste, and a great granddaughter, Claire Inabinett. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4225 Highway 165, Yonges Island and to Regency Hospice, 1843 N. Paris Avenue, Port Royal.
