Veda L. Mcmillan

Veda L. McMillan, 91, widow of Robert E. McMillan of James Island, SC, died Sunday, February 18, 2019. The relatives and friends of Veda L. McMillan are invited to attend her Visitation between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway.

A native of Cypress, FL, Veda was daughter of the late Mittie and John Lockey. She grew up in Selma, AL, and met her future husband Robert E. McMillan while he was stationed at Craig Air Force Base. They settled in Charleston where they raised their family.

Veda is survived by her 2 sons: Robert E. McMillan, Jr. and wife Vickie, and Dwayne E. McMillan and wife Angela; 6 Grandchildren and 4 Great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her 5 brothers and sisters.
