Tu Tran

January 20, 1941 — February 24, 2021

Mr. Tu tran is Vietnamese - American Honored Officer, who supported the US Military throughout the Vietnam War since its beginnings in the 1960s.

Mr. Tran sacrificed his freedom in pursuing the protection of Human Rights that would be taken away with a Communist takeover in Vietnam. Despite his dedication and commitment to protect all that is good, he was imprisoned in jail near Hanoi for twenty-six years and six months. yet amazingly and as a result of his faith and the love and support of his family he survived through enormous sufferings during this time.

Mr. Tu Tran was born in 1941, in Thua Thien Hue in central of Vietnam. Mr. Tu Tran was born and raised in the Roman Catholic Church and throughout all his life he was a staunch defender of the faith, and he remained steadfastly loyal to his God, to the Roman Catholic Church, to his family and his people throughout all his life.

Mr & MRS TRAN (nee Nguyen) together celebrated their 57th Wedding Anniversary on January 19, 2021. Mr. Tran and Mdm. Nguyen have seven children and nine grandchildren. On the evening on February 24th, 2021, Mr. Tu Tran passed away peacefully during his sleep at his residence in Charleston, South Carolina U.S.A.

Mr. TU TRAN devoted himself fully to the faith and in the final years of his life, surrounded by the love of his family and friends, he spent most of his time in prayer, reflection, writing and meditation . Through his person and through his work he has left a legacy for others to remember and to take courage in all things, even in the face of all adversity.  May his courage, his commitment, his faith, love and loyalty continue to be an inspiration to us all, and may his dear soul Rest in Peace in eternity with the God he has loved and served throughout his entire life.
