Timothy Glenn Clark

Timothy Glenn Clark, 72, of Charleston, SC, passed away peacefully Tuesday, November 8, 2022, surrounded by family. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM Thursday, November 17, 2022 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 5 St. Teresa Drive, Charleston. The Rite of Committal will follow at St. Lawrence Cemetery, Huguenin Ave., Charleston. Friends may greet the family at the church 45 minutes prior to the service.

Timothy was born in Trenton, New Jersey on November 29, 1949 to Thomas and Beatrice Clark. He graduated from Steinert High School in Hamilton Township, New Jersey in 1967, served in the United States Navy for 6 years where he met his wife, and received his Associates Degree in Engineering Technology from Trident Technical College. He was previously employed as a mechanical engineer/designer for several companies, including Cummins, SS Eye, and Hillenbrand. He was part of a patent team that improved mattresses for hospital beds specifically designed for burn patients. Timothy was a 4th Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus Council #12472. He enjoyed pancake breakfasts with the Knights after Mass, volunteering for the Miracle League, and watching sports, but mostly spending time as a Pa-Pa to his 3 grandsons.

Timothy was predeceased by his parents and siblings: Glenda Clark, John Clark, Judith Blazek, Kathleen Clark Sergeant and husband Paul, and Thomas Clark, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn; daughter Karen Cartledge (JJ) and son Philip Clark (Kim);  grandsons Connor, Ryan, and Seth Cartledge; brothers and spouses, James and Kristine Clark of Murrells Inlet, SC, Donald and Carol Clark of Miami, FL, Michael and Monica Clark of Middletown, NJ, and David Clark and Karen Marino of Pennington, NJ; a sister and spouse, Ellen and Christopher Rankin of Lawrenceville, NJ; a sister-in-law, Dolores DiLullo of Burlington, NJ and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made either to the Miracle League ( www.charlestonmiracleleague.o rg), or to the Knights of Columbus ( www.kofc.org ).
