Thurman Turner Morgan, 83, of Charleston, the husband of Elisabeth Northcutt Morgan, entered into eternal rest on Friday, November 12, 2010 at a local hospital. He was born in Stone Mountain, GA on Wednesday, May 11, 1927, the son of the late Lawrence W. and Thelma Dean Morgan. Mr. Morgan was a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology and served in the United States Army and the Reserves, retiring as a Lt. Colonel. He was a retired Civil Engineer with the US Army Corps of Engineers. Mr. Morgan is survived by his wife of 37 years, Elisabeth N. Morgan and his son, Larry Morgan, the son of Mr. Morgan's first wife Lillian Smith Morgan, who preceded him in death. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Monday, November 15, 2010 at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Charleston. No other public service is scheduled.
