Thomas Michael Campbell, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 27, 2013. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina on January 9, 1947. Thomas was the son of the late Raymond R. Campbell, Sr. and Lucy Sullivan Campbell and attended Bishop England High School. He was a retired master electrician with Campbell Electric Company and worked as a stevedore on the waterfront. Thomas was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 704 and played softball with them for many years. He was also a member of the Hampton Park Gang and a parishioner of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Thomas loved spending time with his children, grandchildren and loved all his family dearly. Survivors include four children: Cindy Campbell Yarborough (Kenny), Bonnie Campbell, Tommy Campbell, Jr. and Kayte Campbell; two sisters: Betty Burkhardt and Barbara Wade; three brothers: Raymond Campbell, Pat Campbell and Barry Campbell: five grandsons: Dylan Keefe, Clay Yarborough, Brett Yarborough, Ryan Campbell, Austin Smith-Campbell and one step-grandson, Blake Horn. Other survivors include the love of his life, Harriet Campbell and many other nephews, nieces and cousins. He will be truly missed by all! The relatives and friends of Thomas M. Campbell,Sr. are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM Thursday, January 31, 2013, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church on Folly Beach. The Rite of Committal will be private. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening between 5:00 and 8:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy.
