Thelma E. Cole passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2010 at the Hospice of Charleston Center. She was born in Ravenel, SC the fourth of seven children to Frank H. and Carrie White Thomason on Friday, September 10, 1920. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry W. Cole, Jr., her daughter, Patricia Cole Cox and a son, Henry W. "Bud" Cole III. She is survived by two sons, Ronald L. Cole and his wife, Martha, of Mt. Pleasant and Donald A. Cole and his wife, Nancy, of Asheville, NC, two sisters, Ruby A. Ziegler of Round O and Henrietta T. Wyndham of Jacksonville, FL, seven grandchildren and many great grandchildren. Thelma was a faithful member of Bethel United Methodist Church for over 70 years, a homemaker, an avid gardner who cut own grass until age 88, a generous grandmother and a neighbor one could count on. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 5, 2010 at Bethel United Methodist Church, 57 Pitt St., Charleston, SC. Interment will be in Live Oak Memorial Gardens at 2:00 PM.
