Tamela Renee Spangler

Tamela R. Spangler, 55, of Charleston, SC, passed away on Saturday, May 13, 2017.  Tamela was born June 4, 1961, the daughter of  Tom G. Spangler and the late Earle J. Spangler.  She is survived by her father, a sister, Marie Fleming (Giles) of Hollywood SC, and numerous cousins.  Tamela graduated from St. Andrews Parish High School and the Fashion Institute of New York where she began her career in fashion design.  She was an artist with a free spirit that was reflected in her work.  Tamela never met a stranger and had many friends but family was always most important to her.   The family will receive friends between 5:00PM and 7:00PM on Thursday, May 18, 2017, at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway. Services and burial will be private.
