Steve Ratliff

Steven Barry Ratliff, beloved husband of Faye Burnsed Ratliff, went to be with the Lord Saturday, May 25, 2024. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Ratliff are invited to attend his Funeral Service 1:00 PM, Monday, June 3, 2024 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at a later date.

Steve was born in Charleston, SC on September 25, 1961. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack Harold Ratliff and Joan Alligood Ratliff; his sister, Stephanie Bolton and his brother, Madison Allen Ratliff.

Steve is survived by his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, his wife of 37 years, Faye Burnsed Ratliff; his brothers, Jack H. Ratliff (Ruth) and Keith L. Ratliff (Wanda); many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He is also survived by his special in-laws, Robert "Bobby" and Theresa Orvin as well as his brother-in-law, Kenneth Burnsed.

Steve graduated from James High School and retired from MUSC.

Steve was always willing to help anyone in need and was the first one to volunteer if you had a project that needed to be completed. He loved to do home improvements and watch the Carolina Gamecocks football games. Steve and Faye loved to go on cruises and see the different Islands. They had many great trips and saw some amazing places over the years.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Fort Johnson Baptist Church, FORWARD FROM THE FIRE FUND, 1473 Camp Road, Charleston, SC 29412.
