Sivel Graham Inabnett

April 11, 1941 — September 22, 2016

The angels came to take our dear Sivel to meet with Jesus on Thursday evening surrounded by her loving family and friend. The relatives and friends of Sivel Graham Inabnett are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM Monday, September 26, 2016 at the International Church of God, 1560 Ashley River Road, Charleston. Interment will follow at St. Paul's Episcopal Churchyard, Hollywood. The family will receive friends between 12:00 and 2:00 PM Sunday at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home.  Sivel was born April 11, 1941 in Lake City, South Carolina. She was the daughter of the late Ernest and Sinclair Graham. She retired from Bank of America and BB&T, where she was Vice President of lending for 38 years. She was very involved with Credit Women's Association during that time. She attended International Church of God, where she was a vital part of the outreach program and missions. Sivel's happiest days were spent at her Edisto Beach home, where she always welcomed family and friends for a time of fun, food, and fellowship. She and her late husband, Alton, were avid travelers, especially to their mountain cottage in Franklin, North Carolina. Sivel initiated the 'yah-yah sisters', which consisted of her sisters, cousin, and close friends where they met weekly for lunch to enjoy moments of friendship, love and laughter as 'yah-yah girls'. Surviving are her sons Alton C. 'Cliff' Inabnett III (Pam), James L. 'Bubba' Inabnett (Cindy), and Bruce G. Inabnett; her grandchildren Sinclair 'Clair' Catherine McClure (Jeremy), Alton C. 'Ford' Inabnett IV, and their mother DeDe H. Guest, James Legrand Inabnett Jr., Elizabeth-Ann Nicholle Inabnett, Hanna Sineri Inabnett, Bruce Graham Inabnett II, and their mother Gina F. Drolet; and her great-grandchildren Desi and Ellie Diamond; sisters Frances G. Brownlee, Betty G. Morillo (Donald), Teresa G. Leap (Bob); sisters-in-law Helen Morell (Lou), Mary Frances Kastner, Joyce Goodman (Eddie Mac); 27 nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews; her special true friend, Annette 'Annie' Edwards (Ray); and her special cousin Arnette Irvan (Winston). She is preceded in death by her dear and loving husband, Alton, and her sister Barbara Locklear. A special thank you to doctors, nurses, and staff at Heartland, Roper Hospital, and Hospice of Charleston. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to International Church of God, or Hospice of Charleston, 676 Wando Park Blvd., Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.
