Molony, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, July 16, 2017.The relatives and friends of Sha Molony are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 21, 2017, at Sunrise Presbyterian Church on Sullivan's Island. A reception will follow the Service. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Sha was born December 24, 1967, in Purdue, Indiana. Her family traveled overseas during her childhood, eventually settling in Columbia, South Carolina. After graduating high school, she attended Winthrop College. Sha worked as a legal assistant for various law firms, where she met and married her husband of 20 years, Michael. Sha moved to Charleston and continued to work in retail and property management. She was strikingly beautiful and worked as a model for many publications and retail stores, notably Saks Department store. Sha was blessed with the birth of her first sons, twin boys, Emmet and William, in 1999. She and her husband lived on Sullivan’s Island, where they raised their boys. In 2006, Sha and Michael were blessed with the birth of their son Sullivan, continuing his education at Sullivan’s Island Elementary School. Sha’s friends were many and varied. She was known for being quite direct. She was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need, oftentimes the middle of the night, many times a total stranger in crisis. She found strength and solace in helping others through difficult and troubling times. Sha always had a passion for those searching for help and guidance. But her real passion in life were her three boys, Emmet, William and Sullivan. She loved them dearly and had a special relationship with each. Whether it was new car shopping with Emmet, cutting William’s hair or treating Sullivan to a special surprise after school, she was always there for her boys. She totally dedicated her life to each of them and found great joy in motherhood. They shared the same for her and will deeply miss the love and caring she provided for them. She loved flowers, walking on the beach and traveling with her family. They frequently visited their friends in the Bahamas, and enjoyed trips to New York, Ireland and Costa Rica. Sha had a wonderful sense of adventure and always brought a smile to those who knew her whether, for the first time or long-time friends. She is survived by her husband, Michael, her three sons, Emmet, William and Sullivan, her mother and father, Linda and Bill Daleure of North Carolina, a sister, Kim Burgess (John) and two brothers, Bill Daleure III (Jeannie) and Joey Robinson (Heather), aunt and uncle Debbie and Eddie White, and numerous beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and friends. The family requests that donations be made to the South Carolina Aquarium to further her passion for the protection of turtles and marine life, The Pavillon in North Carolina or to the Sullivan’s Island Elementary School Foundation.
