Sedemola A. Hennessey

November 4, 1936 — October 15, 2015

Sedemola Altman Hennessey, 78, passed away October 15, 2015. She was the daughter of Anna C. Altman and Merle C. Altman. She attended Bishop England High School, St Angela Academy and Palmer College. She had 3 sons who predeceased her, and is survived by her partner, George Hennessey, 7 grandchildren and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was the founder and Queen Mother of the Geechee Red Hatters, active in the Charleston County Republican Party and volunteer for the Charleston Symphony Orchestra. She was also an Elk at the Summerville Lodge #2719. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3871 Betsy Kerrison Parkway, Johns Island, SC, at 2:00 PM. Saturday, January 23, 2016.
