Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth "Libby" Cuomo, 84, of Charleston, the wife of Deacon Nicholas Gerard Cuomo, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 5, 2011 at her residence. She was born in Gaffney, SC on Wednesday, March 17, 1926, the daughter of the late John Ellison Clary and Lillie Keenan Clary. According to God's will, angels led her peacefully from this world surrounded by the love of her husband, daughters and grandchildren. Libby, Momma, Nanny, devoted mother, grandmother, wife, sister and friend. She was always there for her family and a true example to her daughters of what it means to be a Mother. She touched many lives in simple ways and was known as a sweet, sweet lady. Libby is survived by her husband, Nicholas G. Cuomo; six daughters, Judy E. Cuomo, Toni C. Dieppe, Suzi C. Raiford, Missi C. Calejo, Mari C. Fisher, Noelle C. Smith and her sister, Margaret C. Johnson. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. The relatives and friends of Sarah E. Cuomo will be invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, Friday, February 11, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be held in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the JAMES A.
