Sara Fields Parks

Sara Doris Fields Parks, 94, widow of Ralph Devon Parks, Sr., passed away in her sleep on November 29, 2018. The relatives and friends of Sara F. Parks are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 2:00 PM Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Burial will follow at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 7:00 PM Saturday evening at the funeral home.

Sara was born October 6, 1924, in Route 1 Shannon, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Wade S. Fields and Sally Hubbard Fields. She was a lifetime member of Fort Johnson Baptist Church on James Island.

She is survived by her children: Linda Parks Colman (husband Hubert), Ralph Devon Parks, Jr., Gerald Richard Parks (wife Kathleen) and Sally Barbara Hawkins; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren and her brother, Donald Fields (wife Diane).
