Sandra L. Unger entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 31, 2026 at the age of 86. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, August 21, 2026 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 4255 Highway 165, Younges Island. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Sandra was born in Syracuse, NY a daughter to Walter and Helen Schadt. While working at St. Joseph's Hospital, she met and married her husband Dr. Richard Unger, and became mother to twin sons and a daughter. She served as a devoted wife, mother, and never caused want to her family. She valued the kind word, the special occasion, and the treasured time.

Sandra is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Patsy Unger of Summerville, along with their children Abigailielle, Vaughn, and Sophia. Her son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Michele Unger of Metairie, LA, along with their children Avery and Jack. Her daughter and son-in-law, Stephenie and David Kannon of Mount Pleasant, SC, along with their children Alexandra and James.

She was welcomed into the Father's Kingdom by many, and will be missed and remembered here on earth.
