Roy Edward Huffman

Entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 9, 2009, Colonel Roy Edward Huffman, USAF (Ret.) widower of Glenna Barnett Huffman, of Charleston, SC The relatives and friends of Roy E. Huffman are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM Friday, June 12, 2009, at Grace United Methodist Church. Burial, at 1:00 PM Friday, will be at Riverview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home 1620 Savannah Hwy. this Thursday evening between 6:00 and 8:00 PM. Roy Huffman was born in Morganton, NC on December 4, 1919, a son of Ann Sudderth and Roy Carp Huffman. He attended schools in North Carolina and graduated from the Citadel. Roy honorably served our country in the U.S. Air Force for over over twenty-seven years. He had a green thumb for gardening and was known as the neighborhood handyman. Roy always had just the right tool to fix whatever was broken. He was devoted to his family, loyal to his church and proud of his service to his country . Roy is survived by his daughters: Deni Huffman and Patty Johnson of Charleston as well as his grandsons, Eric and Ryan Johnson.
