Rosemary 'Rosie' Hendricks Sabback Walters, 75, entered into eternal rest Tuesday, June 14, 2016. The relatives and friends of Rosemary H. Walters are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM Friday, June 17, 2016, at Divine Redeemer Catholic Church, 1102 Fort Drive, Hanahan, SC. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on James Island. The family will receive friends between 6:00 and 8:00 Thursday, with the Rosary at 7:45 PM, at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston. A native of Charleston, Rosie was born August 12, 1940, a daughter of the late Vera DeWitt and Joseph Hendricks. A kind and loving woman, Rosie loved her Catholic faith, and was devoted to the children of Divine Redeemer Catholic School, where she most recently served. She kept children in her home, and was gifted in her ability to care for others. She enjoyed travel, spending time with her friends, and especially her family. Her ability to make others feel incredibly valued was uncanny, because to her everyone was special. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. Rosie is survived by her 5 sons: Gary F. Sabback, Jr. (Darlene), Gerald V. Sabback, Steven M. Sabback (Peggy), Thomas J. Sabback (Theresa), and David 'Randy' Sabback (Sandy); 1 Step-son, Jay C. Walters (Cindy); 12 Grandchildren, and 5 Great-grandchildren; 2 Brothers: Emile J. 'Maxie' and James W. Hendricks. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gary F.
