Rosemary Burkhardt Sueverkruepp, 88, of James Island, SC, wife of the late Donald W. Sueverkruepp, Sr. died Wednesday, April 3, 2019.
The relatives and friends of Rosemary Burkhardt Sueverkruepp are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:30 AM Wednesday, April 10, 2019 at Nativity Catholic Church, 1061 Folly Road, James Island.. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends between 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM Tuesday at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway. The Rosary will be recited at 6:30 PM.
Rosemary was born in Charleston on December 1, 1930, a daughter of the late Edward Jeremiah Burkhardt and Beatrice Strickland Burkhardt.
She was a graduate of Bishop England High School and retired from Southern Bell where she worked as a telephone operator supervisor. She loved to paint and enjoyed sharing her artwork with others. Making people happy brought her joy.
Rosemary will be remembered with great love by her children: Donald (Debbie) Sueverkruepp, Donna McClenney, Karen (James) Balliet and Janet (Gary) Allen. She was Blessed to have 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Beatrice Burkhardt McCulloch, a brother, Gerald (Diann) Burkhardt and a sister-in-law, Betty Burkhardt.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, John Michael Sueverkruepp; a daughter, Cynthia S. Resetar, and by her brothers, Edward J. Burkhardt, Jr. and Eugene C. Burkhardt.
The family wishes to thank everyone who helped care for their Mother, the staff at the Crossings of West Ashley, St. Francis 2nd Floor CCU Nurses, and Roper St. Francis Hospice.
