Rosemary Molony Holst

Rosemary Molony Holst, 91, widow of Louis Leroy Holst, entered into eternal rest on January 10, 2019.

The relatives and friends of Rosemary M. Holst are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial to be Celebrated at 11:00 AM, Monday, January 14, 2019, at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends between 3:00 and 5:00 PM Sunday at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Rosemary was born in Charleston, SC on March 20, 1927, a daughter of John William Molony and Rose Mary Igoe Molony. She graduated from Cathedral Elementary and Bishop England High School, Class of 1944. Rosie studied Interior Design from LaSalle University in the early 1970's and enjoyed decorating homes for family and friends. At age 70, she studied watercolor painting and enjoyed portraits and landscapes, along with painting wine and beverage glasses. Family and friends enjoyed using her painted glasses.

Our Grammy will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. She was predeceased by her sister, Ann M. Cahill and her brothers: John William Molony, Jr. and James Igoe Molony.

She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Holst Wilson and her husband, Lee; her grandchildren: Bryan Wilson and his wife, Amy; Charlotte Billingsley and her husband, Matt; her great-grandchildren: Hannah and Max Wilson, Samantha Rose and Maya Lou Billingsley; her sister-in-law, Nan W. Molony; a dear friend, Janie O. Campbell as well as her beloved dog, Heidi.
