Ronald Douglas Hall

Entered into eternal rest on April 24, 2013, Ronald Douglas Hall, husband of Eleanor Magee Hall, of Charleston, SC. Ron was born May 12, 1942, in Columbia, S.C., a son of the late Hazel P. Hall and Mildred R. Hall. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Jacquelyn H. Smith and his beloved dog, Oakley. He was the Tax Collector for Charleston County. Ron served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam and was a graduate of the Citadel. He was an active member of Blessed Sacrament Church, Perpetual Adoration and a member of the Elk's Lodge 242 serving on the Veteran's Committee and volunteering at the local VA Hospital. Ron was a great man who has brought love and happiness to everyone he came in contact with. Surviving Ron is his wife of 45 years, Eleanor "Sissy" Magee Hall. Also surviving are his sons, Douglas Hall and wife, Anna, of Cumming, GA,;Brian Hall and wife, Courtney, of Charleston and Jeffrey Hall and fiancé, Ashley, of Charleston. His pride and joy were his grandchildren Sydney Hall, Emilia Hall and Landon Hall. Ron is also survived by his two sisters; Lynda Purdy of Greenville, SC and Virginia Hook of Charleston, SC. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald D. Hall are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 3:30 PM Monday, April 29, 2013, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal, at Holy Cross Cemetery will be private. The family will receive friends on SATURDAY evening, April 27, 2013, between 5:00 and 7:00 Pm at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home,1620 Savannah Hwy. His guestbook may be signed at www.jamesamcalister.com.
