Rocco Louis D'Ambrosio

Rocco D’Ambrosio, 93 years of age, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Monday, February 26, 2024. His Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12:00 PM, Saturday, March 9, 2024 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 3871 Betsy Kerrison Pkwy, Johns Island. The Rite of Committal will follow in the churchyard.

Rocco is survived by his wife of 68 years, Marie D’Ambrosio; his sister, Marion Mezzetti; his children, Cindy D’Ambrosio, Andrea Noonan, Joseph D’Ambrosio, Gregory D’Ambrosio, Blaise D’Ambrosio and Sandra Roehrer; his grandchildren, Shaun Noonan, Kyle Noonan, Corey Noonan, Gina D’Ambrosio, Nicholas D’Ambrosio, Daniel Roehrer, Jesse Roehrer, Jordan Roehrer, Matthew D’Ambrosio and Dominick D’Ambrosio.

Rocco was born in Staten Island, New York on February 14,1931 to Joseph and Adeline D’Ambrosio. He graduated from Harvard Law School and had a successful law career, retiring as a Superior Court Judge for the state of New Jersey. His hobbies included fishing, playing the accordion and umpiring.

Rocco retired to Kiawah Island, South Carolina and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was passionate about the church and consistently volunteered as lector, as well as participating in church functions and activities.
