Robin Herschel Crusenberry

August 4, 1969 — March 4, 2011

Robin Herschel Crusenberry, 41, of James Island, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 4, 2011. He was born in Charleston, the son of Carol Ann Cates Crusenberry and the late Harold David Crusenberry on August 4, 1969. He was a graduate of Ft. Johnson High School on James Island and a self employed shell fisher. Robin also worked in the maintenance department of The Islands Apartments. He loved to fish and had a passion for all animals, even fostering many of them in his own home. Robin never met a stranger, was a great friend and even better brother. He was a giving person, almost to a fault and the word no wasn't in his vocabulary. Robin was always there for his friends from lending an ear to the shirt off his back. He will always be remembered for his unique character that blew around with the breeze and let nothing get him down. Robin is survived by his mother, Carol A. Crusenberry; a brother, David Crusenberry and his wife Sharon; three nephews, Robert Crusenberry, Farrell Hudgins and Cole Crusenberry; a niece, Melissa Walker and her husband T.J.; three great nephews, Dagan, Greyson and Landon Walker. He was predeceased by his father Harold D. Crusenberry and a brother Jeffrey L. Crusenberry. The relatives and friends of Robin H. Crusenberry are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home Chapel, 1620 Savannah Highway. The burial will be held privately. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on this evening between the hours of 6:00 PM and 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers please consider memorial contributions to Pet Helpers, 1447 Folly Rd. Charleston, SC 29412. Arrangements by JAMES A. MCALISTER, INC. (843) 766-1365. Robin's guest book may be online at www.jamesamcalister.com.
