Robert S. Tovey, Sr.

Mr. Robert S. Tovey, Sr. entered into eternal rest on January 4, 2012. Mr. Tovey was born on January 16, 1918, in Summerville, SC, a son of Henry M. and Annie Renneker Tovey and graduated from Murray Vocational School. He was employed by the Charleston Naval Shipyard, from which he retired in 1972. He was a former member of Mariner Masonic Lodge No. 2 A.F.M., in Charleston, and YAARAB Shriners, of Atlanta, GA. He was also a founding member and Regional Officer of the Palmetto Region of the Sports Car Club of America. He is survived by his son, Robert S. Tovey, Jr., daughter-in-law Frances and granddaughter, Heather Tovey. He was predeceased by four brothers and two sisters. The relatives and friends of Mr. Robert S. Tovey, Sr. are invited to attend his Memorial Service at 10:00AM, Saturday, January 7, 2012, at Christ St. Paul's Church, 4981 Chapel Rd. Yonges Island, SC 29449.
