Mr. Robert 'Bobby' Singletary, Sr., 73, husband of Linda M. Singletary, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 18, 2015, at his residence. A native of Charleston, SC, Bobby was born December 23, 1941, a son of the late Reba Myers and Luther Singletary. He was married in 1961 to the former Linda Hood. They are the proud parents of 2 children: Robert 'Rowdy' Singletary, Jr. and wife Bambi, and Kelly Singletary Freeman and husband Ricky. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren: Tosha Singletary (Kyle), Amanda Gareia (Tony), Christopher Singletary; and 3 Great-grandchildren: Jackson Garvin, Gabriel and Sebastian Garcia; one sister, Virginia Singletary Burk Miller, and his adopted granddaughter, Misty Cook Hamilton. Bobby and Linda were married for 54 years. Throughout the years, they touched many lives and had a hand in raising many children and grandchildren other than their own. Bobby enlightened tourists for many years at the Charleston harbor, as he was the only 'Live' Navigator/Captain of the Charleston water ways. He never met a stranger and always helped anyone he could. Bobby was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
