Entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 22, 2011, Robert Bernard Santos, widower of Elizabeth Momeier Santos. The relatives and friends of Robert B. Santos are invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM Thursday, August 25, 2011, at Christ Our King Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be at Mt. Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The Rosary will be recited at 5:30 PM and the family will receive friends until 8:00 PM this Wednesday evening at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home 1620 Savannah Hwy. Bobby was a "diamond in the rough" as his Mother called him. All those who knew him well can appreciate this analogy. His charisma and his heart of gold far out shined his stern demeanor. He was a member of Christ Our King Catholic Church and lived his faith whole heartedly He was fearless and strong and loved beyond measure by his family and friends. His memory will forever keep our hearts laughing and loving for a lifetime. Bobby honorably served in the US Navy and attained the rank of 1st Gunner's Mate. He retired from Rice and Santos Heating and Air and pursued a career in commercial fishing. Bobby built the fishing vessel "Betty Boop" that operated out of Shem Creek for many years. He is survived by his son: John Michael Santos and his wife, Bronwyn, his grandchildren: Cypress R. Santos and John M. Santos, Jr.; his sister: Charlotte S. DeVillier; his brothers: Marvin, Emmett and Craig Santos; a special nephew, Francis as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Robert B.
