Robert Clayton Pope, Jr.

CHARLESTON-Robert Clayton Pope, Jr., 67, husband of Bonnie Kay Muntz-Pope, passed away Monday, September 5, 2016. His Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, September 9, 2016 at the Amity Lutheran Church, 1367, Ostwalt Amity Rd., Cleveland, NC 27013. Clayton was born in Mooresville, NC on November 5, 1948, son of Robert Clayton Pope, Sr. and the late Sophie Beaver Pope. He was an Avid power lifter and consumer of western novels. He was an active member of the Natural Athletics Strength Association a Powerlifting Organization, Clan Donald USA and the Scottish Society of Charleston, Inc. Clayton is survived by his wife of 23 years, Bonnie; children: Amanda Byrd Jason Pope; step-child,Tracie Ramsey; grandchildren, Kristalyn Street, Ava Street, Kirk Street; great grandchild Kaylee Sprouse; step-mother Patty Moore Pope; three Sisters: Joanne Leatherwood, Sandy Cocciadiferro, Renee Knox and their families.
