Bob also spent several years serving as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) protecting abused and neglected children in the Cleveland/Akron area. Bob and Donna retired to Charleston, SC in the summer of 2005 to live close to their children and loved every moment of living in the Lowcountry. Bob was a family-centered, vivacious, and kind-hearted man, known for his hardy laugh and generous spirit. When he was not performing random acts of kindness, he was enjoying time with his family and friends, golfing, or diligently writing letters to try and change injustices in the world. He grew to love sailing and was an avid supporter of Veterans on Deck.
