Robert Hughes Farrow, 60, entered into eternal rest peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, August 17, 2016. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Hughes Farrow are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, Saturday, August 20, 2016, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends between 6:00 and 8:00 PM, Friday at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home. Bobby was born in Charleston on March 15, 1956, the son of Thomas Ferguson Farrow and Patricia Cowan Hughes Farrow. He attended Porter Gaud, Ohrms School for Boys in Arizona, graduated from College Preparatory High School and honorably served in the US Navy. Bobby was an adventurous person that never met a stranger and always with a wonderful smile. He loved, motorcycling, travelling to Costa Rica, the Caribbean Islands and throughout Europe. He retired with Sowaski Plumbing where he worked for most of his life. Bobby was survived by his wife of 25 years, Melody Shepherd Farrow; three brothers: John Burbage Farrow (Robin) of Atlanta, GA, Douglas Ferguson Farrow (Rita) of Gillette, WY and Alexander Quinton Farrow (Jeanette) of New York, NY as well as three nieces, Adelaide, Stacy and Jessica; four nephews, Robert, Michael, Thomas and Joseph. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Ashby Farrow. Memorials donations may be made to Charleston Animal Society, 2455 Remount Rd., North Charleston, SC 29406, The English Springer Spaniel Rescue America (springerrescue.org) or charity of one's choice.
