Richard Kent Patierno

Mr. Richard Kent Patierno ,82, of Charleston, entered into eternal rest on the morning of December 28, 2011. He was the husband of Silvine Mitchum Patierno. Mr. Patierno was born March 11, 1929 in East Orange, New Jersey, the son of Rocco and Belva Patierno. He graduated North Charleston High School and attended the University of South Carolina. He served in the United States Army as Sergeant of Engineers He worked for American Seating Company, Ruscon Construction Equipment Sales and was a top producer for Life of Southwest Insurance Company. He was an avid golfer and loved flying model airplanes where he served as president of the Lowcountry Flyers. Most of all he loved his family! He Is survived by his loving wife, Silvine; children: Rick Patierno (Glenda), Lee Ann Garrett (Tommy), Patti Ferguson (Howie) and step-children:Elaine Bailey, Kim Kent (Stevie) and Charla Bailey; 12 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Richard K. Patierno are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM Friday, December 30, 2011, at the Graveside, Carolina Memorial Gardens.
