Richard Anthony Greenlee

May 30, 1952 — March 20, 2026

Richard "Dick" Greenlee, 73, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away unexpectedly at his home on March 20, 2026.

Dick was born May 30, 1952, and spent the first half of his life in Little Rock, Arkansas, before making his home in Charleston in 1992. He built a distinguished 45-year career in real estate, beginning as a broker/owner in the 1980's and continuing as a respected agent for decades. He served as President of the Little Rock Board of Realtors, was named Realtor of the Year, and also served as a state director for the Arkansas Association of Realtors. In Charleston, he held professional designations including GRI, SRES, and ePRO and maintained his real estate license until his passing.

Dick shared 50 years with his partner, William "Gene" Hodges. He enjoyed cooking, entertaining, gardening-especially growing tomatoes-and spending time with family, friends, and his beloved Boston Terriers.

Dick was known for his quick wit, love of music, and the joy he brought to gatherings large and small. He will be fondly remembered for his humor, generosity, and the lasting connections he made throughout his life.

He is survived by his partner, Gene Hodges; his sisters, Robin (Gary) Berry and Karen (Joe) Rodgers; his brother and sister-in-law, Dennis Greenlee and Diana Pounder; as well as extended family and a wide circle of chosen family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abe and Ellen Greenlee.
