Philip A. 'Flip' Chevrier, 91, of Charleston, SC, died Friday, September 10, 2021. The relatives and friends of Philip A. Chevrier are invited to attend his Graveside Funeral Service 2:00 PM Monday, September 13, 2021 at Live Oak Memorial Gardens, 3093 Ashley River Road, Charleston.
Flip was born April 27, 1930, son of the late Joseph and Lulu O. Chevrier. A husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he was a graduate of Porter-Gaud Class of 1950. He served in the US Air Force as a Corpsman during the Korean War. Flip retired from Westvaco after 43 years of service.
He is survived by 2 sons: Robert M. Chevrier and Christopher K. Chevrier (Genie); 2 grandchildren: Philip A. Chevrier III and Bethany Yeager (Devon); 2 great-grandchildren: Sophia Chevrier and Holden Yeager; and his sister, Virginia C. Nadeau.
In addition to his parents, Flip was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara 'Bobbi' Chevrier, and sons Philip A. (Bugsy) Chevrier and David A. (Tony) Chevrier.
Flip will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
