Paul Anthony Smith

Paul Anthony Smith, 61, passed away peacefully in his home Friday, December 21, 2018. The relatives and friends of Paul Anthony Smith are invited to attend his Visitation between 5:00 and 7:00 PM Friday, January 4, 2019 at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Highway, Charleston.


Paul was born February 5, 1957, in Charleston, SC, the son of Shirley Speed Smith and the late Julian E. Smith. He was employed at the family business, Julius E. Smith Plumbing and was the owner before his retirement. Paul was a jack of all trades and he especially enjoyed working in his yard. He was a loving son, husband, father, and brother and will be missed by all who knew him.


Paul is survived by his wife, Cathy Sineath Smith, his daughter Meghan Smith Manley (Jacob) of Tyler, TX, stepdaughter Cailin Sineath, sister Susan Smith Fox, and brothers Julian E. Smith III and Charles G. Smith, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
