Patricia Ann Watt, 58, passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital, surrounded by her family. She was a devoted companion and an excellent classroom teacher. She spent the last 20 years at Burns Elementary School. Trisha loved her students and her wonderful colleagues. Her gift was special, allowing her students to excel beyond expectations. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 147 James Island, where she led the education campaign to raise school supplies for needy students. Only her love for her alma mater was greater. We will all miss that "Go Gamecocks" greeting. Trisha's love for life was infectious. She is survived by her soulmate Bob McKinnon, her mother Vivian Workman, brother Larry Watt and his wife Burton, nephews Kenton, Bill, Carlie Watt, and godchildren Zack, Garrett and Sydney Sandford. In lieu of flow- ers, memorial donations may be made to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund, c/o Newtown Savings Bank, 39 Main St., Newtown, CT 06470. No services are scheduled at this time; a celebration of Trisha's life will be announced later.
