Patricia Ann Mikell

Patricia Ann Mikell, age 79, of Charleston, entered into eternal rest on Saturday, December 9, 2017. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. McFarland H. Mikell are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial 11:30 AM Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 5 St. Teresa Drive, Charleston. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on James Island. The family will receive friends between 5:00 and 7:00 PM Monday at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. The Rosary will be recited at 6:45 PM. Pat was born on March 15, 1938, in Charleston to Harry Alexander Duc and Lillian McGuiness Duc. She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters, Katherine Mitchell, Marguerite (Booty) Sosebee and Carmen Duc, and a brother, Thomas Alexander Duc.Pat graduated from Bishop England High School (1957) and St. Francis Xavier School of Nursing (1960). She began her nursing career at St. Francis Hospital in the nursery. She later moved to the ENT clinic at MUSC where she retired in 2000. She will always be remembered for her loving and caring nature.She is survived by her husband of 57 years, McFarland (Mike), her daughters, Lisa Fosberry (Marty) and Lori Rowland (Andy) of Charleston, her sons, Mike (Myrtis) of Jacksonville, Florida and Mark (Alicia) of Charleston. She was the loving grandmother (Nana) to 15 grandchildren: Martin, Mikell, Reed and Lawton Fosberry; Anthony, Julia and Paul Rowland; Jordan, Erin, Emily and Drew Mikell; Patrick, Thomas, Christopher and John Mikell. She is also survived by sisters-in-law Ann M. Duc and Ann M. Hayth as well as several nieces and nephews.
