Odis Garry Butler

Odis Garry Butler entered into eternal rest Tuesday, June 27, 2016. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Odis G. Butler are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 11:00 AM, Friday, July 1, 2016 at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy., Charleston. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.Odis Garry was born March 12, 1961 in Orangeburg, SC, the son of, Marion Homer Butler and Medrith Ruth Rogers Butler. He was active duty infantry in the Army National Guard 1982-1986. Odis was a Master Carpenter and Subcontractor through out his life. Odis loved his family and enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He persevered through many challenges throughout his life and found God's grace and love. He is survived by his wife, of 36 years, Martha Norris Butler; two sons, Odis G. A. Butler (Megan Reilly) and William Lee Butler(Aja Simes); 4 grandchildren, Aristotle, Dominik, Dodger and Rowen; 5 brothers, Tony Greene, David Butler, Barry Butler, Chris Butler and Marion Butler and his sister, Paula Butler. He is preceded in death by two brothers, Stanley Greene and James Butler.
