Entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 1, 2004, Mr. Nathaniel Wilson Cabell widower of Jean Witsell Cabell, of Charleston, SC. Mr. Cabell was born in Charleston on Sunday, March 15, 1914 a son of John R. Cabell of Callands, Virginia and Mary Ellison Robinson of Rowesville, South Carolina. Mr. Cabell honorably served his country during World War II in the United States Army in North Africa. He graduated from Vanderbilt University and received his law degree from the University of Virginia. He was a member of Kappa Alpha Fraternity, the Carolina Yacht Club , the Cabell Foundation of Virginia the Society of Colonial Wars and St. Philips Episcopal Church. Mr. Cabell served in both the State House of Representatives and the Senate and practiced law for many years. He is survived by his five children, Helen Cabell Parker of Charleston; Mary Randolph Cabell Prum of Cambridge, MA;Nathaniel Wilson Cabell of Charleston John Witsell Cabell of Fernindina Beach, FL and Thomas Leigh Cabell of Charleston; and a sister Mary Cabell Witsell and her husband John of Charleston and 8 grandchildren.The relatives and friends of Mr. Nathaniel W. Cabell are invited to attend his Funeral Service at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 3, 2004, at St. Philips Episcopal Church. Interment Churchyard. Friends may call at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. this Friday evening between 5:00 and 7:00 PM.
