Mildred Boykin

Elizabeth Mildred (Millie) Pinckney Boykin, 89, of Wadmalaw Island passed away on Saturday, March 24th, 2012. The relatives and friends of Elizabeth Mildred Pinckney Boykin are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 2:30 PM, Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at the James A. McAlister Chapel, 1620 Savannah Hwy, Charleston. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. A reception will follow. She was pre-deceased by her husband, John Scott Boykin, her parents, Ethel Pinckney Inabinette and Thomas Marion Pinckney, her brother, Thomas M. Pinckney, and her sister, Mary Claire Pinckney Jones Seegar. Millie is survived by her son, Charles Gregory Boykin and his wife, Mary, and many, many "favorite" nieces, nephews, and friends. Throughout her life, Millie was very active and was the Postmaster for Wadmalaw Island for many years. She also worked with her husband at their store. For many years she was an active member at Holy Spirit Catholic Church on John's Island.
