Merle Deloris Thigpen

Charleston, SC - Mrs. Merle Deloris Wells Thigpen, 87, widow of Louis Thigpen, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 2, 2015. A native of Long Island, Bahamas, she was a daughter of the late George and Rosa Lee Wells Harrison. Merle was a retired Sales Clerk with the Sam Solomon Company (later Service Merchandise). She is survived by her two sons, David and William, 2 grandchildren, and her brother Clarence. A loving wife and mother, she will be missed by all who knew and loved her. A private burial will take place at a later date at Holy Cross Cemetery on James Island.
