May F. Copeland

May France Copeland, widow of Leon Jackson Copeland, Sr. entered into eternal rest on Monday, December 31, 2012. She was born in Charleston, SC on August 12, 1924 and graduated from Bishop England High School. May was a devoted mother to her children and worked with her late husband, Jack, at Schiff Shoes in South Windermere Center for many years. She retired from Dillard's Department Store in Citadel Mall. May was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church and Perpetual Adoration. She was predeceased by her husband and a son, Leon J. Copeland, Jr. May is survived by 4 Children, Donna C. Tucker and her husband, Wayne , of Kingwood, TX., Ronald J. Copeland and his wife, Agnes, of West Columbia, SC., J. Michael Copeland and his wife, Debbie, of Goose Creek, SC and Stephen A. Copeland and his wife, Amy, of Columbus, NC as well as 6 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren The relatives and friends of May F. Copeland are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 12:00 Noon, Friday, January 4, 2013, at the James A. McAlister Chapel. Burial will be at Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Friday morning at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. between 10:00 AM and 11:30 AM.
