MaryAnn Cumbee Lamb, wife of Guy Nolan Lamb, died Sunday, November 9, 2014, at a local hospital. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Guy N. Lamb are invited to attend her Funeral Service at 1:00 PM, Thursday, November 13, 2014, at Ashley River Baptist Church. Interment, Live Oak Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening between 5:00 and 7:00 PM at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy. and at the church on Thursday one hour prior to Service. MaryAnn was born in Charleston, SC on May 22, 1953, the daughter of the late Jasper G. Cumbee and Irene Lane Cumbee of Charleston, SC. MaryAnn graduated from St. Andrew's High School and Trident Technical College in Charleston. She was a member of Ashley River Baptist Church, their Choir and taught Sunday school for the youth department and Sweet Adeline's. MaryAnn was a member of the Red Hat Society and current Director of the local Gold Wing Road Riders Association. She enjoyed singing, gardening and traveling on motorcycles. MaryAnn loved animals including her Dachshund, Frankie and her grand Dachshund, Dottie, She was also a member of the JB Pivots shag club and the Summerville shag club. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Guy N. Lamb, her soulmate, and has gone to the Lord to Sing his Praise. MaryAnn is also survived by her daughter, Jennie E. Lamb; her Mother Irene L. Cumbee; her sisters,Shirley Arthur ( Finn) and Bonita Rhode (Ray) as well as a niece, Bridgett Thames and nephews, Chris Rhode, Trey Allen, Nolan Thames, Jasper Rhode and Gage Thames.
