Mary Cale Zahedi

Mary Cale Zahedi entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 2, 2021.

Mary was born in Charleston on February 2, 1958, the daughter of the late Harry Cale, Jr. and the late Mary Heuer Cale. She loved spending summers at the beach on Sullivan’s Island and enjoyed the Lowcountry lifestyle. Mary also loved taking her three dogs on evening walks around the neighborhood. She was a devoted mother and known for her exuberant personality that could light up a room.

Mary is survived by her children, Ashley Zahedi Chandler (David) and Chason Cale Zahedi, both of Charleston, SC; her two brothers, Harry Cale III (Beth) and Stephen Cale (Lucretia) of Mt. Pleasant, SC; two nieces, Kerrie and Katie; her nephew, Kevin and numerous grandnieces and grandnephews.

The relatives and friends of Mary Cale Zahedi are invited to a Gathering of Friends between 5:00 and 7:00 PM Thursday, March 18, 2021, at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy, Charleston. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
