Mary Anne Williams

Ms. Mary Anne Williams, 61, of Charleston, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, March 24, 2010. Mary Anne was born December 20, 1948, in Charleston, S.C. to the late Charles E. & Dorie J. Riding. Mary Anne cherished her life as a mother, grandmother and loyal friend. Mary Anne received an undergraduate degree from Baptist College and she received her graduate degree from The Citadel, College of Charleston and Duke University. Mary Anne was a talented pianist, soloist and taught music at St. John's Catholic School, Brentwood Middle School and North Charleston High School. She was the organist and active member of St. John's Catholic Church in North Charleston, SC. Mary Anne is survived by her sons, Charles Williams, wife Phylis, Blair Williams, wife Blakely, and her daughter Erica Mallare, husband P.J.; her grandchildren, Luis Picardo Cataldo, Conner Hudson Cataldo, Kobe Blair Cataldo, Isabella Kai Cataldo, Sophia Dorie Mallare, Noah Charles Williams, Ashlyn Paige Williams and Abigail Quinn Williams. Mary Anne will be deeply missed by her family and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home, 1620 Savannah Hwy, . The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. The relatives and friends of Mary Anne's are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, March 29, 2010, 4:00 p.m. at St. John Catholic Church, 3921 St. John's Avenue, North Charleston, SC 29405.
