Mary S. McLain, 82, widow of Jack R. McLain, entered into eternal rest on morning of Thursday, July 25, 2013. A native of Charleston, SC, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Eulalie Sturcken. A graduate of Bishop England High School, Mary was a member of Blessed Sacrament for over forty years. A loving mother and grandmother, Mrs. McLain also had a wonderful sense of humor and enjoyed life to the fullest. Mrs. McLain is survived by her 3 children: Jackie and wife Dottie, Julie McLain, and Tony McLain, 2 grandchildren: Ali McLain-Sherrill and husband Adam, and Brian McLain, and 1 Brother, Lawrence Sturcken. Mary was preceded in death by a son, Michael Joseph McLain, 2 brothers Edward and Gordon Sturcken, and 1 sister Beverly Sturcken. The relatives and friends of Mary Sturcken McLain are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM Monday, July 29, 2013, from Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery on James Island. The family will receive friends between 6:00 and 8:00 PM Sunday at the James A.
