Mary Elizabeth Mcfadden

Mary Elizabeth Hoppmann McFadden, 86, widow of James Patrick McFadden, entered into eternal rest on the evening of Monday, January 10, 2010, in Charleston. The relatives and friends of Mrs. Mary H. McFadden are invited to attend her Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM, Friday, January 14, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. The Rite of Committal will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the James A. McAlister Funeral Home 1620 savannah Hwy. this evening from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. The Rosary will be recited at 5:00 PM She was born in Charleston, South Carolina to the late Walter Henry and Marie Dean Hoppmann. She attended Bishop England High School and retired from the Charleston Naval Shipyard. Mary was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. She committed her life to her family, faith, and friends. She was known for her many acts of kindness and will be dearly missed. Mary is survived by her daughters Susan Johnson (Jeffrey) and Jone Papinchock (Michael), son James Patrick McFadden (Lori), and son-in-law S. Phillip Wagers. She has 8 grandchildren and two great granddaughters. She is also survived by sister, Carolyn H. Campbell of Charleston. She was predeceased by her daughter, Kathryn A. Wagers, and grandchildren Jason H. and Katie S. Wagers. In lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to the Jason H. Wagers Memorial Fund at Bishop England High School, 363 Seven Farms Drive, Charleston, SC 29492 or to the Blessed Sacrament Building Fund, 5 Saint Teresa Dr. Charleston, SC 29407.
