Charleston, SC - Mrs. Mary Ann Graham, age 83, entered into eternal rest on the afternoon of July 30, 2012. A native of the Washington, DC and northern Virginia area, she was the daughter of Michael and Anna L. (Hunter) Ciuffreda. Among her many professional accomplishments, Mrs. Graham was most proud of her tenure at The Pentagon, where she served as secretary to the Secretary of the Air Force. Through her service to her country, she became a proud member of the Marine Corps, and proudly donned her uniform, a rare honor for a woman of her time. Through her work at the Pentagon, Mrs. Graham met her husband, TSgt Vaughn Nelson Graham, United States Air Force. They married on her birthday in 1957, and his military service took her around the world, serving in places such as Guam, as well as many United States locations. Her post-military career included her role as a store detective, primarily for Saks 5th Avenue Miami Beach, Florida, another role she was very proud of. Mrs. Graham was preceded in death by her loving husband, who passed away in 2006, and her daughter Dorothy. She is survived by her 2 sons: Earl Graham and his wife Judy of Charleston, SC; and Bruce Graham and his wife Sherri of Goose Creek, SC. She was the proud grandmother of 4 grandchildren: Kristy McGinness, John Graham, and Bruce Nelson Graham, and Julianna; 2 great-grandchildren: Marina and Lilyana. At the family's request, and in honor of Mary Ann's love for her cats, the family would appreciate any donations to be made to Pet Helpers, 1447 Folly Road, Charleston, SC 29412. All services for Mrs. Graham will be private.
